Three fishermen have been honored at the Pietryka Park in New York Mills.
It was announced Wednesday that the fishing access deck in the park would be dedicated to Bill Girvan, John Maciol, and Don Keller, who is no longer with us.
The three had grown up fishing near the park and the bridge was finished last September.
"It's a tremendous honor. You're teamed up with John Maciol, from the 60's that ran Yorkville Bay Shop, and Don who passed away a couple of years ago. Don did tremendous things here in New York Mills with the kids all over the country," said Fisherman, Bill Girvan.
Girvan says he hopes people with disabilities will also be able to use the deck and wants to continue working with children in the area.
