All across New York, museums, zoos, botanical gardens, and art centers are celebrating the first ever New York State Museum Week.
Central New York got in on the fun too. Marlene Brown, Executive Director of The Children's Museum encourages people to come out and explore the museums around our area. She hopes this week will show people what museums are all about.
"It's a week for all the museums or anything connected with museums and culture to have something special so that people can get out and see, this is what a museum is all about. And I bet there are people right here in our community that don't know everything we have to offer on the four floors of this museum," says Brown.
The Children's Museum will be holding special events every day of this week. Museum Week will run until next Thursday, June 6th.
