Thousands of New York construction worker jobs could soon be in jeopardy, according to Congressional Candidate, Dan Lamb.
Lamb says Congress needs to pass the Surface Transportation Re-authorization bill so construction projects aren't disrupted.
He says the federal government funds the transportation programs through this law.
Lamb says with just five Congressional work days left to pass the bill, he is asking that Rep. Richard Hanna pass the long term highway legislation.
A spokesperson for Rep. Hanna tells Eyewitness News: "Mr. Lamb clearly shows a poor understanding of the issue and the status of the negotiations. Representative Hanna takes his responsibility very seriously to produce the best highway bill possible...to put people back to work and begin to rebuild our ailing infrastructure."
