The theme was Hawaiian Luau and the free event was open to members, health center, and children enrolled at the early learning center. One mom and daughter say kid's day is a great event to learn while having fun.
"It's just an educational day and a fun day for them to learn how to be healthy, and also play games, and win prizes," says mother Sondra Jones.
"My favorite part was making this necklace right here, and I learned that you should eat healthy a lot or you'll gain weight and you won't have enough energy in the day," says daughter Claudia Cook.
Children took part in monkey bean bag toss, Hawaiian bowling and even learned food facts on the nutrition wheel - the main focus was health and keeping kids active this summer.
