The Stanley Theater can now get the community involved in their organization via a smart phone.

This is all a part of a larger social media strategy the organization has been developing this year.

The Stanley has developed an app allowing the theater to send news, events and to accept donations through mobile devices.

"People's busy lives today they don't have to get dressed up and get a baby sitter and go to an event and all that to be a part of the Stanley. Everyone has Stanley memories and we do need the support from the community to attend functions to keep the theater here," said Ann Van Strander, the Director of Institutional Advancement at the Stanley.

A grant from the Utica National Group Foundation helped the Stanley develop the mobile outreach.

Anyone who would like to join the Stanley's Mobile Community is encouraged to text SPOTLIGHT to 50555.

Individuals who would like to support the Stanley with a $10 donation, text STANLEY to 50555. $10 will be added to their phone bill.
