Oneida County Legislator David Gordon wants Utica taxicabs to clean up their act. Gordon says Oneida County is the 5th most tourist driven area in New York state.

As it stands, he says the cab agencies in Utica create a negative image for the community. Gordon is calling for a uniformed color in cabs, being properly marked, and overall looking like a legitimate taxi cab service should.

"A lot of that has to start with what people see when they're in our community. When people move here. They need to know when they come here whether they've been out for the night of traveling to and from work or home. That they are safe and secure and they understand what a taxi cab should be in our city," says David Gordon, Oneida County Legislator.

Eyewitness News contacted all of Utica's taxi cab services - and none returned our call for a comment.
