Although an autopsy has been conducted, officials say they're not releasing the results regarding Saturday's shooting at the Forge Motel in Old Forge.

30-year-old Catherine Koestner of Utica died of a single gunshot wound to the head, according to the Herkimer County District Attorney's Office.

Officials say no one has been charged in this incident, but witnesses are still being questioned.

Herkimer County's acting District Attorney, Jeff Carpenter, says he doesn't anticipate the investigation to continue much longer.

"Initially we did have several questions. I think that the investigation both forensically in the room as well as the interrogation of some witnesses, together with the autopsy those are being answered," said Carpenter.

Mr. Carpenter tells Eyewitness News he cannot comment on the gun used in the crime. The New York State Police are continuing to follow up on leads.
