Almost fourteen million Americans are looking for jobs, and another nine million only work part-time because they can't find a full-time job. Congressman Richard Hanna announced his support for the STEM Education Opportunity Act. The act encourages students to pursue fields in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM.

"Unemployment rate for stem is half of what it is around the country. And we know, and i know from traveling this district, there are people looking for men and women educated in stem, there are jobs available and there are openings unfilled," says Congressman Richard Hanna.

Congressman Hanna says the stem act will provide a tax deduction equal to student's higher education expenses. This will include a student's tuition and room and board.
