The Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council is looking for some extra funding.
The group is submitting an Action Plan in hopes of getting state money to spur economic growth.
Last year, the Council was awarded $60 million and this year they're looking for additional funding to continue those projects.
The Co-Chair of the Council says the community played a major role to help prioritize different plans.
"From beer and breweries to high stem cell research, so it's going across the board. Some of the common themes continue to be nanotechnology and cyber security. Yet there is a lot of funding for traditional manufacturing in the area," said Co-Chair of MVREDC, Larry Gilroy.
The Mohawk Valley region consists of six counties: Herkimer, Otsego, Oneida, Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie.
The Council says it will hear back from the state in a couple of months.
