One New Hartford organization is celebrating 75 years with a three-day cabinet showroom grand re-opening event.

Jay-K Cabinet's standalone store built behind Jay-K Lumber closed its doors last year due to flooding from Hurricane Irene.

But, a grant allowed the company to rebuild the cabinet showroom inside the main Jay-K store

"It's a family business. My grandfather started the company. My cousin and i are currently running it. We have employees who have worked here for over 50 years. It's just a continuation of what we do every day," said Jonas Kelly, Vice President of Jay-K Lumber.

Rebuilding the showroom has allowed the lumberyard to keep jobs in the area. And, sales are expected to be going on throughout Saturday.
