Do you know any high school students who may be interested in theater or Broadway?
Well, the Broadway Theatre League or BTL is seeking some youth ambassadors to join their program. The goal is to engage area teens and encourage their interest in theatre.
If chosen, the ambassador will be given five Broadway Theatre League season tickets for shows playing at the Stanley.
In exchange, the students will have to write their own reviews.
"The kids are going to put their thoughts on Facebook and Twitter so that will get the word out about how they felt about the shows and what was good or bad. This will allow them to write critiques. It will hopefully get interesting to get their perspective of what's going on," said Erika Heintz of Broadway Theatre League.
To be eligible, the student must be a junior or senior in high school and they must have a Facebook and Twitter account.
Students must have the ability to attend and provide his/her own ride to the opening night of all five season shows.
Application Process:
-Students must have a teacher recommendation
-Students will be required to submit a short essay explaining why they would like to become a Youth Ambassador, including any experience they've had that may pertain to theater or the purpose of the program.
Applications are due Monday October, 15th. For more information call Broadway Theatre League at 315-724-7196 or email your application to Erika@broadwayutica.com
