Utica city employees had the chance to get their flu shots and blood pressure screened today. This was part of the city's first-ever Health and Wellness Fair at City Hall. Employees were able to speak to city benefit providers and state retirement system representatives.
Workers also had access to massage chairs and chiropractic information
"The purpose for this is to promote health amongst our employees so they are better taken care of. It helps with the cost of health insurance and their productivity along with some education to what they can do and to have a healthier workforce," said Ercole Ventura, the Labor Relations Specialist.
There were samples of healthy food as well as an "Eat Well, Live Well" food truck in the parking lot.
