New Hartford Senior Center holds annual Meet the Candidates Luncheon

With Election Day with less than a week away, area candidates met with some voters face-to-face. Seniors at the New Hartford Senior Center held their annual Meet the Candidates Day Luncheon earlier this afternoon.
This gave members the opportunity to express their concerns and ask questions. The Director of the Senior Center says issues like social security, Medicare and funding for their nutrition program is important to them.
"We want to make sure there are meals and funding for the seniors. It is too important. We cannot let our seniors down. People come here that would not be eating properly or not eating as well as they should be. We want the best for this country. People will be voting with their hearts," said Eileen Spellman.
Some candidates stayed for a Halloween-themed lunch and some even dressed up in costumes.
