Animals that we're used to seeing at the Stevens-Swan Humane Society got a little surprise this afternoon. Donations collected at this year's Utica Zombie Walk back in October were given to the pets.

The organization raised over 200 pounds of food and funds for the animals. Those with the zombie walk say they've been donating to the humane society each year.

"They support a great cause keeping animals in a bad situation off the streets and keep them out of trouble. They help them find home for these pets. It's a great organization to support," said Kyle Riecker, the Event Coordinator of the Utica Zombie Walk.

The Utica Zombie Walk also raised over 900 pounds of non-perishable items for the Feed Our Vets Food Pantry.
