Fire crews respond to structure fire on Riverside Drive in Utica

Fire officials are calling a two family North Utica home a total loss after an afternoon fire. The fire broke out at 170 riverside Drive around 1 p.m.
Crews battled large flames and heavy smoke and are still on scene putting out hot spots. Officials say one person was home at the time of the fire, but did manage to escape uninjured.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the city fire marshal.
