There's another new business in town and this one is on Varick St. in Utica.
The Adirondack Distilling Company celebrated it's grand opening Thursday morning.
It's located in the old Metro building and President of the company, Bruce Elwell says the entire process to open up the business took over two years of work.
The first product they'll be selling is vodka, but Elwell says they hope to eventually have gin and bourbon on the market as well.
"We're bringing something unique to Varick St. This is a distilling company, we have a brewery at the other end where they make beer and we're going to be making spirits," said Elwell.
As part of the opening, Friday night several bars on Varick will be making special drinks using the Adirondack Distilling Company's vodka.
