Wonderland of Lights opened for Christmas

One area organization opened its campus on Christmas night for families to enjoy its light displays.

The Resource Center for Independent Living or RCIL is continuing to put on its 11th annual Wonderland of Lights.

Opened since Thanksgiving, the Executive Director of RCIL says people can expect some new displays this year.

"It's really become a tradition in the Mohawk Valley. There is nothing like this for at least a 50 mile radius. And simultaneously they are providing assistance to RCIL to people who we wouldn't be able to otherwise serve," said Burt Danovitz, the Executive Director of RCIL.

The light displays will be up through January 1st at the Masonic Care Community Campus on the Welshbush Road entrance in Utica.

The Wonderland of Lights will be opened from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
