While many are enjoying Christmas night with family and friends, others are spending the holiday working and caring for others.
Firefighters are those who don't always get the holidays off.
Eyewitness News stopped by a Utica fire station on Christmas to see how they were spending the holiday.
Lt. Phil Fasolo says they still have the same number of staff on duty, and Christmas is generally the same as any other day.
"As far as fire calls go, they don't really know a holiday. We get our calls just like any other holiday. As far as the fire station and the guys, we do the best we can. We might do an extra special meal," he said.
