Central New York theatre enthusiasts worked with one of the original cast members from the famous Broadway musical, Wicked.

Area students learned actual songs and choreography from the well-known show today. Each performer also got professional feedback and coaching for audition techniques.

The Broadway star says workshops like these are a way for him to give back to the community.

"I love working with the kids. I love seeing that glimmer in their eyes. Theatre is such a specific passion to have and when you see people that have that in them you just want to nurture it and cultivate it. These kids have been super focused and excited and expressive and that's what I love. I love getting them out of their comfort zones," said Ben Cameron.

Today's workshop was organized by an award winning acting studio based out of Manhattan.
