Declutter Coach Holds Shred Day In Honor Of "Get Organized" Month

By: Rachel Polansky
Updated: January 21, 2013
In honor of "Get Organized Month," or GO Month, some community members celebrated by shredding, disposing, and recycling unwanted paperwork.

Our area Declutter Coach is giving another tip; teaming up with Confidata Shredding and Jay-K Lumber to hold an area Shred Day. Community members brought confidential documents and other unwanted paperwork to Jay-K. Then Confidata's mobile shred truck destroyed the documents right before their eyes.

"Everybody's got paper that they don't need. So what we want you to do this month is really go through and get rid of that clutter in your home or in your office because clutter breeds clutter. And also lots of clutter causes lots of stress so we want to declutter and simplify our life and here's a great way to do that," says Deb Cabral, Declutter Coach.

January is recognized as GO Month and it's a national effort by the National Association of Professional Organizers, or NAPO.
