A Yorkville Police officer along with three other people were involved in a car crash Thursday afternoon.
Officials say the police car and the van were going north on Champlin Ave.
We're told the police officer was responding to a 911 call and the driver of the van became confused and turned into the path of the police officer.
The police car went off the road and crashed into a house on the corner of Champlin Ave and Highland.
Police say there was a Utica College intern in the police car at the time doing a ride along.
The four involved were taken to an area hospital for medical examination.
