When winter hits Central New York, many farmer's markets close up shop for the season.

But in Ilion, one farmer's market is selling it's goods all year long.

Owner, James Parker says this is the third year the market has stayed open through the cold months.

Mr. Parker says part of the reason for staying all year long has to do with the Amish.

"The Amish, they were outdoors with tents and they need a year-round income," said Parker. "The Amish and Mennonites encouraged me to start this because the barn was vacant."

The winter market is on Otsego Street in the village.

It's open Friday's from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday's from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
