The Utica
Police Department was called to Calvary Cemetery on Oneida Street late Tuesday
night in response to a shooting. Police
say they found a car nearby the cemetery with a couple assault rifles. After further investigation police say they
found a deer that had been shot and has since died.
They say there were some people at the scene who have been questioned, but believe some people fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Sgt. Steve Hauck of the UPD says a permit is not needed to own this type of rifle, but it is illegal to use it in the city. He says no arrests have been made as of yet.
