If you're a firefighter and in community college --- or looking to go, you may want to listen up.  The Fireman's Association of the State of New York came to Mohawk Valley Community College today to get the word out about their new reimbursement program. To help encourage volunteer firefighter involvement, FASNY is offering to pay the tuition for community college education as long you continue to volunteer.  FASNY president David Jacobowitz says the number of volunteers has decreased drastically over the past few years in the state and is hoping this will increase the numbers.

If you're interested in applying, visit www.fasny.com for more information.  The deadline to apply for the fall semester is October 1,2011, and for the spring semester, it's February 1, 2012.
