With the Primary Election now over, the General Election is right around the corner. County Executive Anthony Picente is running against Rodger Potocki. Potocki held a media conference today, to announce his taxpayer relief program. Eyewitness News visited with Potocki for a one-on-one regarding his plans if elected. Potocki made it very clear that he feels money is wasted in our county's system. He says he strongly supports a 2% property tax cap and plans to lower the county's sales and property taxes. Potocki says cutting those taxes would spur a lot of economic activity, create jobs, and increase property values. He wants Oneida County to be known as being a progressive county, and awaken from what he describes as its current slumber.
