Facebook isn't just for finding friends anymore. A new Kaplan Test Prep survey says that nearly a quarter of college admission officers use Facebook or other social networking pages to learn more about prospective students. The study reports that 20% of admission officers Google students. In 2008, only 10% of those surveyed used social networking to check on students. The survey found that of those admission officers who check Facebook and other sites, 12% say that what they found negatively impacted the applicant's admission chances.
