Busy and Long Day for Thanksgiving Travelers

People all over the country are busy getting where they need to go for the thanksgiving holiday. The train station in Utica was bustling today with holiday travelers.
Being Amtrak's busiest travel day, it was a long and tiring day of waiting and traveling for many people. Union Station Security Guard said the station was especially busy, and traveler Jose Pitti said every seat was full on his trains today.
There were many people coming and going, and waiting for family and friends. For some, it was a long day. "I left my aunt's house at about 10:30 to be on the bus at 12:15, and then I think it was a six hour ride just sitting on a bus," said Nick Long.
And with the busy traffic came delays. "When I came I thought her train was early so I went running to track number one, and they said it was a train from Chicago that was 4 hours late," said Nadine Fingerlow, as she waited for her mom to come in. "So then I came in only to find out that her train that was supposed to be at 5:14 is delayed as well."
But everyone I spoke with agreed that it's worth the travel hassle to be home for thanksgiving. "We haven't seen her since September," said Margaret Owens about her daughter, "so it'll be nice to have her home for the holidays."
