Unatego football turns to Rigas

The vacancy created when Unatego’s school board decided not to re-hire John Mushtare as head varsity coach was filled by a man who’s familiar with high school football in Otsego County.
Former Oneonta High head football coach Art Rigas was approved to take over for Mushtare by Unatego’s board at a meeting Monday night.
"I’m just excited to be coaching high school football again," said Rigas, who spent the last three years as an assistant coach at Milford Prep in New Berlin. "I just think it’s the purest form of football."
