MV MYSTIC 16U TEAM FINISHES 3-3 AT NATIONAL TOURNEY!

The Mohawk Valley Mystic girls 16U softball team went 3-3 this weekend as the local team competed at the ASA Eastern National Class B Girls Fastpitch Tournament in Sunbury Pennsylvania. Courtney Creedon started 3 games for the Mystic and ended up with a 2-1 record giving up just 9 hits, 9 Ks, 1 walk. Creedon's r 2 wins were 3-0 and 6-0 shutouts. One against the Shooting stars of Mass. and The Explosion of PA.Defensive Stars for the Mystic including Creedon were Mallory Ingalls, Allyson Eggan and Alaina Rieben. On offense the Mystic was lead by Janet Rolf, Ingalls, Eggan and Michelle Gibbs all with key hits and runs batted in.
The Mystic was eliminated by The Susquehanna Slam 6-5 in a heartbreaker- in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs and after intentionally walking a batter (who earlier hit a 2 run blast,)to load the bases. The next batter went to a 3-2 count and after fouling off several pitches was struck but a run scored on the dropped third strike passed ball.
