O-Tigers rained out

The Oneonta Tigers gained ground in the New York-Penn League’s Stedler Division, and they didn’t even play Tuesday.

Rain postponed Oneonta’s game at the Pinckney Division-leading Auburn Doubledays (28-19), who will host a doubleheader against the Tigers at 6 p.m. today. The combination of the postponement and Vermont’s 9-3 loss Tuesday to the visiting Aberdeen IronBirds (25-22) shaved a half-game off the Lake Monster’s Stedler Division lead.

As a result, Oneonta (27-20) pulled within one game of Vermont (28-19), which continues its three-game home series against Aberdeen at 7:05 tonight.  Full story at The Daily Star.
