Every cloud has a silver lining. Just ask the Oneonta Tigers.

Although rain postponed the three-game New York-Penn League series opener between Oneonta and the visiting Williamsport Crosscutters on Friday, the Tigers earned a share of the Stedler Division lead when Vermont fell, 2-1, at Batavia.

Tyler Henley of the Muckdogs (19-30) snapped a 1-1 tie with one out in the bottom of the eighth, when he scored from third on a wild pitch by losing pitcher Devin Drag. The Lake Monsters dropped their second game in a row and suffered their third loss in four games. Vermont fell to 29-21, matching the record of idle Oneonta.  Full story at The Daily Star.
