Torrid stretch lifts Kurt Schulte to OCC title

 An 11-hole stretch that Kurt Schulte played in 8-under par Sunday all but wrapped up his first Oneonta Country Club golf championship. Schulte made six birdies and an eagle from holes No. 4 through No. 14 and beat his son Matt _ runner-up for the second straight year _ by four shots with a two-day total of 5-under-par 139.

Following an opening round 70, Kurt Schulte shot 69 Sunday.

He fell to even par for the tournament after double-bogeying the par-3 second hole Sunday. He got back under par with a birdie on the par-4 fourth hole. After parring the fifth hole, Schulte made an 8-footer for birdie on the 404-yard, par-4 sixth.  Full story at The Daily Star.
