Oriskany's magical postseason run ends

By: Staff. The numbers were against the Oriskany softball squad coming into their Class D state quarterfinal matchup against Section IV champion Afton on Tuesday in Binghamton at the BAGSAI Complex.
Afton was coming off its 13th consecutive Section IV championship and had outscored the opposition by an astonishing 40-0 margin so far this postseason. The two squads also had previous history in 2002, when Oriskany suffered a 17-0 loss to the Lady Crimson Knights in the state quarters. Full story at the Rome Sentinel.
