Ilion Football Players Suspended

By: Stephen Bond
Updated: September 28, 2012

Thursday night, Eyewitness News was told that 21 Ilion football players have been suspended and the game against Frankfort-Schuyler will be forfeited. Sources tell us the players were suspended for disciplinary reasons. They gave us no specifics as to what those disciplinary reasons are. Ilion Head Coach John Cole told us tonight that he is down to fifteen players which is below the allotted limit a team to play. At this point, Ilion isn't saying much, only that there will be no game tomorrow for them. As for Frankfort-Schuyler, Head Coach Jeff Lagace told Eyewitness News they are currently trying to find another opponent. Sources say it could be a Friday or Saturday game against Union Springs.
