If you were around Bleecker St. in Utica yesterday, you might have noticed an interesting visitor in the area.

Utica Police received calls about a Wild boar running around near the Masonic Care Community.

After searching, UPD Sgt. Steve Hauck says they ended up catching the boar at the intersection of Culver Ave and Broad St.

Hauck says the animal got aggressive toward the officers when they found it, so they had to euthanize him.

Hauck says they've never seen a Wild boar in the Utica area and to his knowledge, he says it was also a first for Oneida County.
