Team Bellinger gets bounced

Clay and Cody Bellinger and the rest of the Chandler (Ariz.) National team are headed home.

Warner Robins, Ga., hit five home runs Thursday en route to a 16-6 victory over Chandler in a United States semifinal of the Little League World Series.

The game was played before 13,700 at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pa.

Clay Bellinger, an assistant coach for Chandler, graduated from Oneonta in 1986 and earned World Series rings as a utility player for the New York Yankees in 1999 and 2000.

He received a third World Series ring after a brief stint with the Anaheim Angels in 2002.  Full story at The Daily Star.
