Whether it's snow storms or high winds, mail carrier Lance Hill has worked it all.
"I've been doing it so long you sort of get used to it," he said.
He's spent the last 17 years as a full-time mail carrier.
With no stranger to the job, he says it's still a relief every time Mother Nature postpones the snow.
"You know having to walk through the snow, it's just going to take you longer. It's going to be harder driving," said Hill.
On an average shift, Lance spends about six hours outside.
So when the weather takes a turn, he says layering up is key.
"I wear my wind pants everyday and that keeps the wind and the snow from getting my clothes wet, and you have to wear gloves and a hate. I wear a hooded sweatshirt just in case it gets real windy," he said.
While some like working indoors, Lance says he prefers the outside.
"I tried working outside a couple occurrences, it's just not for me. It just seems like time stands still when you're inside," he said.
Along with enjoying the outdoors, Lance says it's also the relationships he's built with neighbors that make the job.
"He's one of the best mail carrier persons ever!" said Bill Cook.
