Mohawk Valley becoming a hotbed for baseball

No one, not even global warming alarmists, are going to confuse Texas or Florida with Central New York. But when it comes to baseball, the steamy south has nothing on Central New York.

Take the Proctor Raiders, 2007 state baseball champions. Or the New Hartford American Legion Post, 2006 state baseball champions. Or Herkimer County Community College, NJCAA Division III World Series participants the last two seasons. Full story at the Utica OD.
