Afton clicks in 5-0 defeat of Hancock

Now three years into their second decade of Section Four Class D softball dominance, the Crimson Knights of Afton displayed many of the traits that have brought them so much success over the years Saturday.

But a rarity occurred in top-seeded Afton’s 5-0 sectional title victory over No. 2 Hancock at the BAGSAI Complex.

It wasn’t the performance by slap-hitting lefty Stephanie Sherman, who ended up scoring each of the three times she reached base. Full story at the Daily Star.
