The Miners jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first.
With the Miners already up 1-0, former Wizard James Donaldson

That was all Miners starting pitcher Dustin Johnson (Bloomsburg) needed.

Little Falls tacked on single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, with Aaron Roberts (Southern Illinois) and Danny Etkin (Long Island) hitting RBI singles. Roberts finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Etkin went 2-for-4.
Chris Kowalski (Boston College) had three hits, with a double and a run scored.
Wizards (6-12) starting pitcher Marcus Spaulding did not record an out in the game, pitching 0 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits, while walking one with no strikeouts.
With the Miners up 7-4 in the bottom of the ninth and runners on base, closer Dan Rossignol (Rhode Island) struck out both batters he faced, picking up his second save of the season.
