Volunteers make the difference at the Boilermaker

he growth of the Boilermaker Road Race has come through hard work.And not all of it has been done by the runners.

Volunteers are the backbone of the weekend, and there are some who have been around the race for many years and have witnessed firsthand the expansion of the event from its small beginnings. "The race has just grown so much over the years," 27-year volunteer Phyllis Petrillo said. "It's so big now." Full story at the Utica OD.
