The Rome Cyclone's 13u traveling baseball team took an early 4-0 and was over taken by the Utica Falcons 6-4 in a UABA contest last night at Lee Town Park. Steve Joyce started on the mound and struck out 6 batters before giving way to Eddie Zakrzewski. Zakrzewski struck out 7 more Falcons but couldn't hold the Falcons off.

Joyce and Dylan Thomas were the hitting stars for Rome with a couple hits and a run scored each. Rome Cyclone's 13u team finished the regular season 10-18. Rome will play a doubleheader August 1st at Cooperstown's Doubleday Field to complete its season. Full story at MyHometownSports.net
