Cooperstown's state quaterfinal postponed

By: Rob Centorani. Players, coaches, fans and umpires converged at Union-Endicott’s Pete Sylvester Field on Monday, but nary a pitch was thrown.
The
Class C state baseball quarterfinal between Section Three champion
Cooperstown and Section Four champion Oxford was postponed about 15
minutes after its expected 4 p.m. start. The teams will try again at 4
p.m. today back at U-E, although more rain is in the forecast.
The
National Weather Service website shows showers likely and possibly a
thunderstorm before 2 p.m., followed by a chance of showers and
thunderstorms after 2 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Full story at the Daily Star.
