WHITESTOWN — Across the Mohawk Valley and soon
in Europe, Utica College hockey coach Gary Heenan is teaching his brand
of power-skating, leg-driving, muscle-draining hockey. It hasn't stopped young hockey players from flocking to it from all over the world.
"It's a lot of work but it's worth it in the end," New Hartford 12 year-old Jack Vitagliano said.
This week Heenan has brought a pack of his UC hockey players to Whitestown Community Center to host one of his Heenan Hockey Systems camps. One of those players is this year's captain, Bryce Dale. Dale said being coached by Heenan isn't easy, but promises it's rewarding. Full story at UticaOD.com
