Tri-City Lacrosse league enjoys 'best year ever'

 ROME — The spectrum of lacrosse players that filled a half-dozen fields in Griffiss Business & Technology Park over the weekend varied in age, gender, race and hometown.

The thing the members of the Tri-City Lacrosse league shared was a fondness for the game that may truly be America's oldest pastime.

"It's a constant moving sport," youth director Andy Farrell said. "Unlike other sports where there's movement in spurts, this keeps you going all the time. So, it's a good aerobic activity."
