Oxford
took over for the next three innings, setting up a seventh that
couldn’t have been much more dramatic _ especially with a berth in the
Class C state baseball semifinals on the line.
In
the end, winning pitcher Steve Locke hit a two-run single in the bottom
of the seventh to give the Blackhawks a 4-3 state quarterfinal victory
over the Section Three champion Redskins on Tuesday at Union-Endicott’s
