There's the Lambeau Leap, the seventh inning stretch, or my favorite, playoff beards in hockey--All great sports traditions on the professional level and there just as many on the high school level. In Poland soccer has become a generation affair.

"It's a tradition here for both the boys and girls, they're raised with the game," says Tom Basel.  "The second reason is these girls commit, they play two or three seasons a year, indoor, club and the more commitment they put in, the better the results are for us."

So far this season the Tornadoes have faced six opponents and so far it's been nothing short of perfection and much of that success comes from a competitive atmosphere in practice.

"We have a number of girls that are so competitive that they drive each other and there's competition at every practice for playing time," says Basel, "The results speak for themselves but we of course have other challenges ahead of us."

"This year we're still working on it but it's pretty good," says Dakota Allen, "All these girls have grown up together and played together over the years. I would say overall just playing together, knowing one another, being close, you're going to want to help and support each other on the field, on and off."

Poland is a soccer town meaning when the Tornadoes are playing odds are the community comes out to support them and the teams feel a pressure to perform at their best.

"I think the supports good and it helps us know that we have people behind us wanting us to go far," Paige Sullivan tells Eyewitness News. "You know Poland is a soccer school so everyone expects you to go far and usually we have a lot of support for the community."

"It's a lot of pressure to be on a team that has such high expectations to win all the time," says Brittany Green, "Definitely like its surreal going through it; I mean all the big crowds and it's like 'they're really here for me.' I mean its pressure but it's so much fun at the same time."
