VERONA — More than $150,000 has been raised for Central New York charities through a ticket-selling initiative affiliated with the Turning Stone Resort Championship PGA Tour event.

As of Wednesday, a total of $158,030 raised by non-profit organizations will be returned to them after the Championship, which will be held from Sept. 17-23, according to Oneida Indian Nation officials.

Under a unique program designed to benefit the charities, 100 percent of the face value of every ticket sold will be returned to the selling organizations.  Full story at Rome Sentinel.
