One area health care center is honoring their own heroes. Sitrin gave a special thanks to their resident veterans from all generations.
Veterans who served in Vietnam, WWII and the Korean War were all present.
The military liaison for the organization says today gave his ROTC students a better understanding of what they are getting themselves into. Members who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan also attended the event.
Some veterans were also able to express what service meant to them.
"As long as history has been written, there have been shared experiences from soldiers in combat in the soldiering experience. And to hear that from a different generation of vets to know that some of those experiences are the same help us to keep a tradition of soldiering and military service," said Capt. Luke Slatton, Sitrin's Military Liaison.
