Joe sits down with Ann Maher, Executive Director of MVILR at SUNYIT. The Mohawk Valley Institute for Learning in Retirement (MVILR) is a resource for retired people in a transitional life-style change. They explore topics, new intellectual challenges, and share collective knowledge and experiences. Ann explains how it's a chance for retirees to exercise their minds and engage in the interpersonal relationships that helped make life interesting pre-retirement. Ann also discusses upcoming events and topics which members of MVILR can look forward to, such as Road Scholar executive and author Peter Spiers presenting his  new book, Master Class: Living Longer, Stronger and Happier, Wednesday, January 16 in the Kunsela Auditorium. It was recently named one of the Wall Street Journal's picks of the year's best guides to later life. For more information visit www.sunyit.edu/mvilr/.
